Lebanon’s economy has been disrupted since 2019, the effect got intensified by the impact of the pandemic imposed due to the Coronavirus. Ever since then country’s economy has been adversely affected. The condition has become so severe that the Lebanese banks have locked their funds. Thus, people won’t be able to withdraw their money from the banks.

People have now gone through a lot of financial troubles and the urgency has led people to forcefully take money from the banks. Lebanon banks froze many banks accounts in 2019 and now it has been completely stopping users from withdrawing their money and has led people to rob from bank accounts.

Lebanon Economic Breakdown

Lebanon has been in an economic disaster since three years. Most of the money from the country was taken away by the politicians who used the money raised for the welfare of the country. As a result, the country got financially weaker by the cause and slowly its economy crashed.

Bassam Al-Sheikh Hussein in the Bank of Beirut carrying a shotgun and a can filled with gasoline. He later grabbed the bank manager from his collar and asked him to open the locker and inform the higher authority that he would not leave they give all of his money back. According to the reports, Hussein owns a total amount of around $209,000.

Later on September 16, activists from Lebanon gathered outside a local bank to support Abed Soubra, who stormed the location and demanded access to his personal funds. After Soubra entered the bank brandishing a gun and demanding access to his deposits, Lebanese police captured him. It was the third occurrence of its kind that week in Lebanon.
