Patna: Groom Dead, 95 People Who Attended The Wedding Test Positive For Covid-19

The cases are spiking at a very rapid speed and at many parts of India, the Unlock has already happened. The unlock might be one factor that the cases are rising so fast. In Patna, 90 people who were part of the wedding have tested positive for COVID-19. The groom died two days after he tied the knot.

The groom was a software engineer and work in Gurugram. He was cremated without testing for coronavirus even after being symptomatic.

This has probably the first case of such a mass spread of coronavirus. The administration team went on contact tracing and found more than 80 people positive for coronavirus.

The Patna Administration could not test the groom as the family did cremation without informing the authorities.

After the district administration was made aware of the situation they conducted the test for people who attended the wedding and 95 people came positive. However, the bride tested negative for the virus.
