It looks like Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated return to the big screen has given Bollywood a huge boost.
Upon its release, Pathaan has made a record-breaking collection of Rs 57 crore at the Indian box office on its opening day, which surpasses the Hindi dubbing of KGF: Chapter 2.
On Day 2, the movie has made an even higher single-day earning of Rs 70 crore, which is more than enough to push War down from its previous position.

Pathaan Box Office Record
The Shah Rukh Khan-led action-packed film was drawing in large crowds, with people everywhere demanding extra screenings. Siddharth Anand’s directorial had an occupancy rate of 65% on the second day.
According to Box Office India, “Pathaan has taken off to astronomical heights, collecting around 70 crore nett in Hindi on the second day. It’s impossible to explain what’s happening all over the country, with each center hitting new records. We won’t be surprised if the collections go even higher, as the growth in some parts of the Hindi-speaking regions is unprecedented, and the growth in areas where it was already doing well on the first day is simply incredible.”

The Pathaan (All India) total is estimated to be around Rs 1258 crore after two days, and the movie is projected to achieve a record-breaking opening weekend of about Rs 190 crore.
