It’s now confirmed that Parineeti Chopra will play the role of Saina Nehwal after Shraddha Kapoor in the upcoming film based on the life of ace shuttler Saina Nehwal.
As per the latest Bollywood news, after undergoing intensive training in badminton for months, Shraddha Kapoor opted to step back from the biopic due to scheduling conflicts.
Taran Adarsh, Indian film critic and trade analyst had put a full-stop on all the speculations surfacing the internet by confirming the same.
He tweeted, “IT’S OFFICIAL… Parineeti Chopra to play renowned badminton player #SainaNehwal… She will start training for the biopic soon… Directed by Amole Gupte… Produced by Bhushan Kumar… Filming will be completed by 2019-end… Early 2020 release.”

As per Taran, Parineeti is all prepping up to start training for the biopic soon and shooting of the film will be completed by the end of this year.
Bhushan Kumar, who is producing the film, also made an official announcement through his Twitter account and welcomed Parineeti Chopra.
Last year in September, Shraddha had begun shooting for the biopic. However, soon the film was given a pause after she was diagnosed with dengue.
The first look of the film came out last year, in which Shraddha was seen as Saina and was looking brilliant in the getup of renowned player. She was training herself with a shuttle.
The direction of the film is under the hands of Amole Gupte and is expected to release by 2020.
In the meantime, Shraddha is currently busy with her action thriller ‘Saaho’, which will hit the theatres in August this year. She has also been roped in for ‘Baaghi 3’ alongside Tiger Shroff.
The Saaho actress is also having two movies in her kitty namely, ‘Chhichhore’ and ‘Street Dancer’. On the other hand, Parineeti is gearing up for the release of ‘Kesari’, which also stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
Moreover to her upcoming movies, the actress will also be seen in ‘Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar’ opposite Arjun Kapoor and ‘Jabariya Jodi’ with her ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ co-star Sidharth Malhotra.
