Anti-Taliban forces exist in Afghanistan ever since the existence of the Taliban and they have been a friend and ally of India. Ahmad Shah Massoud, the founder of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, was the first to stand up against the Pakistan-backed Taliban.

However, Al Qaeda assassinated him in 2011 but his death did not stop this anti-Taliban movement. His son Ahmad has taken his father’s place and continued the fight to protect the province.

North Alliance Commanders have warned them not to disrupt the peace of the province or else they will fight for peace.

Other leaders of the group, General Mohammad Akmal Amir and Hamid Saifi are negotiating with the Taliban for humanity, justice, and peace. They are in continuous talk with the Taliban and also seeking support from world leaders.

But they won’t handle the entire matter with talks and are ready to take up the hatchet if the Taliban fails to accept their recommendations. And the recent battle of Khavak is proof where NRF fighters have killed 350 Talibanis.

Around 40 people are captured as per the reports. Tension escalates in Afghanistan’s Panjshir Valley with this development and citizens are locked in the valley now.
