The Oppo Reno 12F 5G is expected to launch globally on June 18 alongside the Oppo Reno 12 5G series. The alleged handset has previously been spotted on multiple certification sites and some of the key features of the phone have surfaced in online leaks. Design renders of this alleged smartphone have now been shared in a report, which also suggests its price and key specifications. It is expected to be the successor to the Oppo Reno 11F 5G, which was unveiled in February this year.
Expected Oppo Reno 12F 5G Price, Design
According to a report by PassionateGeekz, the Oppo Reno 12F 5G is likely to go on sale starting June 18 in select markets alongside the Oppo Reno 12 5G and Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G. The phone is likely to be available in a single RAM and storage configuration of 8GB + 256GB, which is likely to be priced at EUR 329.99 (roughly Rs. 29,500).
The leaked design renders shared in the report show the alleged Oppo Reno 12F 5G in two colour options – green and orange. The phone appears with a circular rear camera module that houses three camera sensors and a halo light unit. According to the report, the halo light feature can be customised to indicate gaming mode, charging status, message alerts, and incoming calls.
OPPO Reno 12F colour options tipped
- According to tipster Chun Bhai On X (formerly of Twitter), the OPPO Reno 12F will be available in 4G and 5G variants.
- Meanwhile, the tipster also said that the upcoming OPPO Reno 12F will be available in Orange, Green, and Grey colours.
Oppo Reno 12F specifications leaked
- As per the leak, the Oppo Reno 12F 4G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, while the 5G variant will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, as seen in phones like the Realme C65 and Vivo T3 Lite. Meanwhile, the Reno 11F is a 5G-only phone with the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC.
- Both variants are likely to feature a 50MP OmniVision OV50D main camera, along with 8MP and 2MP sensors with LED rings at the back. It is worth noting that the previous model was launched with a 64MP OmniVision OV64B primary camera.
- Hence, the 50MP on the Reno 12F looks like a downgrade, but actual details about the camera quality will only be revealed once the phone is launched. Meanwhile, the OPPO Reno 12F will retain the 32MP sensor at the front. Additionally, the tipster mentioned that the OPPO Reno 12F 5G will support NFC, while the 4G will not come with NFC.
The tipster did not share any other details about the upcoming Reno 12F, but the phone has already appeared on multiple certification websites including BIS, EEC, and TDRA, and one of them reveals that the 5G variant may feature a 5,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging technology. However, it is worth noting that these details are based on speculation, and the company will reveal official details soon.
