Oppo’s official Weibo post confirms that the Oppo K12 Plus will launch in China on October 12 at 2:30 pm local time. The company has also revealed the design of the handset. It has a pill-shaped rear camera module, which houses two camera sensors and an LED flat unit in a small, circular slot.

Another Weibo post confirms that the Oppo K12 Plus will come in two colour options – Basalt Black and Snow Peak White.

The phone sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display on the front and a 6220mAh battery inside. However, despite packing a large battery, the phone maintains a sleek form factor, measuring 162.47×75.33×8.37mm and weighing just 193 grams.

While the company hasn’t revealed much about the phone yet, it was previously rumoured to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the same chip used in the standard model. However, the name suggests that there could be performance improvements, which could be achieved with better thermal management and different software tuning.

The K12’s display reaches a maximum brightness of 1100 nits and has an FHD+ resolution, which translates to a pixel density of 394ppi. The phone features a UFS 3.1 fast storage chip and comes in a total of three storage and memory configurations.

These include 256GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM and 512GB 12GB RAM. Talking about the camera, the K12 has a 50MP + 8MP dual camera setup at the back, paired with a 16MP selfie shooter. Oppo K12 Plus confirmed to launch on October 12
