Oppo is going to launch the ‘Oppo F29’ smartphone series today i.e. on March 20. Two phones F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G will be introduced in this series. Information about the launch has been given on the company’s official website and social media handle X. Oppo has also shared the design and some features of the smartphone.
OPPO F29 series Specifications
Display
The Oppo F29 and F29 Pro 5G smartphones have been launched on a 6.7-inch FullHD + display with 2412 × 1080 pixel resolution. This is a punch-hole style quad curved screen built on an AMOLED panel. In both these phones, users will get support of 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1200nits peak brightness and 394ppi. The company has launched OPPO F29 and F29 Pro equipped with in-display fingerprint sensor technology.
Camera
The Oppo F29 series has a dual rear camera for photography. Both 5G phones support a 50-megapixel main sensor with F/1.8 aperture. While the F29 has the S5KJNS 5P lens, the company has installed the OV50D40 OIS sensor in the F29 Pro. The Pro model of the series also supports 10x zoom.
There is a 2 megapixel monochrome depth sensor in their rear camera setup. At the same time, OPPO F29 and F29 Pro 5G phones support 16 megapixel front camera for selfie and video calling. This is a Sony IMX480 lens which works on F/2.0 aperture.
Processor
For processing, the Oppo F29 5G phone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 octa-core processor built on 4nanometer fabrications, which is capable of running at a clock speed of up to 2.2GHz. The Oppo F29 Pro smartphone has been launched on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy octa-core processor built on 4nm architecture, which has the ability to run at a clock speed of up to 2.5GHz.
To give AI power to the phone, while the NPU 770 Hexagon processor has been installed in the Oppo F29, the F29 Pro 5G phone supports the NPU 655 AI processor.

The Oppo F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G phones have been launched on Android 15 which works in conjunction with the latest ColorOS 15. With both these Oppo mobiles, the company is offering 2nd generation Android OS which makes them ready for Android 17. At the same time, these Oppo 5G phones will also get 3 years of security updates which will keep protecting the smartphones from bugs etc. from time to time.

The OPPO F29 series has become famous even before its launch in the market due to the power of its battery. OPPO F29 has been launched with a powerful 6,500mAh battery. On the other hand, in OPPO F29 Pro, users will get a powerful 6,000mAh battery for power backup. The company has said that the battery life of the base model is 4 years and the battery life of the Pro model is 5 years.
To charge these large batteries faster, the Oppo F29 5G comes with 45W fast charging technology, while the F29 Pro supports 80W fast charging technology. According to the company, the battery of F29 can be fully charged in 84 minutes and the F29 Pro 5G phone can be fully charged 100% in just 54 minutes. Both these Oppo 5G phones are equipped with Reverse Charging technology.

Oppo F29 has been launched in two storage variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM + 256GB. Its starting price is Rs 23,999 and its top variant comes for Rs 25,999. It can be purchased in Glacier Blue and Solid Purple colors. The phone can be pre-ordered now. Its sale will be held on March 27.
Oppo F29 Pro has been launched in three storage variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 256GB and 12GB RAM + 256GB. Its base variant is priced at Rs 27,999. At the same time, its other two variants come for Rs 29,999 and Rs 31,999 respectively. This phone can also be pre-ordered. Its first sale will be held on April 1.
