Operation Ganga To Bring Back 3726 Indians Today From War-Hit Ukraine, 3000+ Rescued So Far

India has increased the speed of evacuation Operation Ganga to rescue all Indian students from Ukraine through its Operation Ganga. Till now, more than 3000 Indians have came to their motherland and an additional 3726 will reach the country today on 19 flights.

Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya M.Scindia is already in Romania to ensure the smooth evacuation process and safety of young nationals. He has given an update from his official twitter handle about the full schedule of flights operating today.

Flights Scheduled Today Under Operation Ganga

  • Total 8 IAF planes will reach Bucharest to pick up Indian students arriving from Ukraine
  • Total of 5 flights from Indigo will arrive at Suceava and Rzeszow
  • Only 1 from spicejet will reach Kosice under Operation Ganga
  • Go First airways and Air India along with IAF planes will rescue students from Budapest

Early morning, a special flight from Poland has arrived India Gandhi International Airport, Delhi carrying students. A C-17 Globemaster III Indian aircraft has also brought back 200 students from Romania today. Three more Globemaster will arrive Poland, Hungary And Romania.

Air India, Air India Express, Spicejet, Indigo are the airlines that are part of Operation Ganga. So far, India has sent 16 flights to Ukraine and 15 more will reach in next 24 hours. These flights are not carrying the students alone; they are taking humanitarian aid to help Ukrainians.

These 5 Ministers Are Leading ‘Operation Ganga’ From The Front

operation gangaAlong with Scindia, 3 more Ministers have also reached to neighborhood countries of Ukraine under Operation Ganga. Hardeep Singh Puri, General Vijay Kumar Singh and Kiren Rijiju is handling the process in Hungary, Poland, and Slovak republic respectively.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is monitoring the entire operation and leading from the front.
