OnePlus is once again in the news for its mid-range series Nord. It is being told that the company is working on the next generation OnePlus Nord 5. Recently the price and specifications of this device were leaked. At the same time, now this phone has also appeared on the TUV Rheinland certification website, revealing its battery details.
OnePlus Nord 5 battery details revealed
- OnePlus Nord 5 is listed on the TUV Rheinland website with model number CPH2079.
- The name of the phone is not clearly written in the certification, but it has been confirmed that it is a OnePlus device.
- According to this listing, the OnePlus Nord 5 is going to get a big 6,650mAh battery, which is bigger than the 5,500mAh battery of the Nord 4 launched last year. It may also have support for 80W fast charging.
- However, earlier reports had talked about 100W charging, which suggests that changes in specifications are possible.
OnePlus Nord 5: What will be special?
According to reports, the OnePlus Nord 5 smartphone could be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition launched in China. This upcoming phone from OnePlus will come with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e chipset, which has just been launched. This OnePlus phone will have a 6.77-inch display with an optical fingerprint scanner.
This upcoming phone is said to have a dual rear camera setup. It will have a 50MP + 2MP rear camera and a 16MP selfie camera. The middle frame of this OnePlus phone will be made of plastic. OnePlus Nord 4 was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 29,999.
Is Nord 5 a rebranded version of OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition?
If the leaks are to be believed, the OnePlus Nord 5 could actually be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition, which is going to be launched in China soon. The Ace 5 Racing Edition is expected to feature the Dimensity 9400e processor, which has not been officially announced yet.
It may have a 6.77-inch flat display, an in-display fingerprint sensor and a plastic middle frame.
A 50MP + 2MP rear camera setup can be installed in the camera department. While a 16MP front camera has been reported for selfies.
Launch in India and price (expected)
The India launch was hinted at when the CPH2079 model number appeared on the BIS certification. Along with this, the model numbers of OnePlus Nord CE 5 and OnePlus 13s have also been listed on BIS, confirming that OnePlus is preparing for a big launch in India. At the same time, the price of OnePlus Nord 4 launched last year started from ₹ 29,999, so it is expected that the price of Nord 5 can also be kept in the same range.
