Ola Electric has announced the launch of the range of Gig and S1 Z scooters in the Indian market. All of these have been designed keeping the general public in mind. Ola has included Ola Gig, Ola Gig+, Ola S1 Z and Ola S1 Z+ in its new range of electric scooters.
With this, their booking has also started from today. Booking has started from today for just Rs 499. They feature removable batteries, which will cater to personal and business use cases of rural, semi-urban and urban customers. Delivery of Gig and S1 Z series will start in April 2025 and May 2025 respectively. Let’s know about them.

1- Ola Gig:

Ola Gig is designed for short rides. This scooter is claimed to have a strong frame, design, adequate range, removable battery, adequate payload capacity and better safety. In this scooter, the company has given a removable battery pack of 1.5 kWh capacity. The company claims that this scooter will give a driving range of 112 km (IDC-certified) on a single charge. It has 12-inch tires. This scooter is considered suitable for B2B business.
2- Ola Gig+:
Price: Rs 49,999
This scooter is designed for gig workers traveling long distances with heavy payloads. The Ola Gig+ scooter can run at a maximum speed of 45 kmph. The company has introduced it with a removable single/dual battery of 1.5 kWh capacity. The company claims that the single battery of this scooter gives a range of 81 km i.e. with two batteries this scooter is capable of giving a range of 157 km. This scooter is powered by a hub motor with a peak output of 1.5 kW.
3- Ola S1 Z:

The S1 Z has been designed by the company as a personal-use scooter. This scooter has a 1.5 kWh removable dual battery, which has an IDC-certified range of 75 km (146 km x 2). Its top speed is 70 kmph. It has an LCD display and physical keys. In this scooter, the company has given a hub motor of 2.9 kW capacity. The company says that this scooter can accelerate from 0-20 kmph in 1.8 seconds and 0-40 kmph in 4.8 seconds.
4- Ola S1 Z+

In Ola S1 Z+, the company has given a strong body, high payload capacity and multi-purpose storage. The company says that apart from personal scooters, it can also be used for light commercial use. It has a 1.5 kWh removable dual battery, which has an IDC-certified range of 75 km (146 km x 2). Its top speed is 70 kmph. 14-inch tyres have been used in this scooter. Apart from this, it also has the facility of LCD and physical key. This scooter can accelerate from 0-20 kmph in 1.8 seconds and 0-40 kmph in 4.7 seconds.
