Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi will launch it at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on Wednesday. ‘Child Marriage Free Bharat’ portal will also be unveiled
This online platform will support the mission of the campaign to raise awareness against the prevention of child marriage and effective reporting of child marriage incidents. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign on January 22, 2015. This Child Marriage Free India campaign is inspired by the success of this scheme.
PM Modi’s dream is to make the country ‘Child Marriage Free Bharat’
This national campaign is inspired by the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s flagship scheme ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, which was launched on January 22, 2015. This campaign focuses on making the country child marriage free. This campaign will prove to be essential for promoting education, skills, entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship among girls and women so that the dream of a developed India can be realized.

According to the release, the country has achieved success in reducing the child mortality rate, and birth sex ratio and promoting enrollment of girls at all levels in the last few years. However, the evil practice of child marriage is still prevalent. It is the worst form of violation of human rights. Despite concerted efforts, even today about one in five girls gets married before the legal age of 18 years. The Child Marriage Free India campaign is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s future vision of a ‘Developed India’ by the year 2047.

The Child Marriage Free Bharat Campaign is a testimony to the government’s efforts to empower young girls across the country. It will ensure a progressive and equitable society and fully realize the potential of every child. The message of this campaign is expected to reach 25 crore citizens. Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur will also be present on this occasion.
Child Marriage Prohibition Officers from various districts of the country, civil society organizations, government officials of all central ministries, officials of states and union territories, and dignitaries will participate in the program through physical and virtual mediums. This program will be broadcast live through webcast and YouTube.

Today on 27 November, I will join the launch of the National Campaign against Child Marriage in New Delhi.”
