Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz & Zverev Lead Madrid Open 2025 Seeds

Former champion Novak Djokovic will enter the Madrid Open tennis tournament for the first time in three years. He will be eyeing his 100th tour title. Djokovic has been seeded fourth and is in the same half as second seed Carlos Alcaraz, a favorite of the local audience. Djokovic has a win-loss record of 30-9 at the Madrid Open.

37-year-old Djokovic has been a three-time champion in Madrid. He won titles here in 2011, 2016 and 2019. He will play here for the first time after losing to Alcaraz in the 2022 semi-finals. World number two Alexander Zverev, who recently won the title in Munich, will be the top seed here, while Taylor Fritz has been given the third seed.

Alcaraz had to undergo treatment on his right foot during the Barcelona Open. Alcaraz hopes the injury will not bother him in Madrid. He said that this happens when you play too many matches and you get less days to rest.
