The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor will be used
The biggest thing is that Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor will be used in the phone 3. According to Akis, this chipset is based on the company’s new top-tier technology, in which all the cores are high-power (all big core). This improves both the performance and energy efficiency of the phone.
He told that when this processor was paired with Nothing’s custom operating system Nothing OS, the phone felt very fast and smooth. The company has also released some figures to prove the performance:
- GPU (graphics performance) increased by up to 88%
- CPU (processor performance) improved by up to 33%
- NPU (AI performance) improved by up to 125%
The battery optimization results are not final yet, but Akis says that due to the new chip, the battery backup will also be very good this time.
Nothing Phone 3 details (as per the information revealed so far)
- Nothing has not officially confirmed that the Phone 3 will be manufactured at the company’s Chennai factory in India.
- This smartphone will not have the brand’s iconic glyph interface. Instead, a dot matrix design will be seen.
- Recently, a leaked render of the Phone 3 has surfaced online, in which its new design has been claimed. It appears to have dual camera sensors placed vertically and there is another sensor next to them, which could possibly be a periscope lens.
- It is also being said that this render could be a prototype of the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, as a similar design was also seen in a YouTube video shared by the brand.
- The Nothing Phone 3 is said to be launched in Black and White colour options.
- According to reports, the 256GB variant will be priced at $799 (roughly ₹68,800). While the 512GB version could be priced at $899 (roughly ₹77,500).
With the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, it will be interesting to see what the Nothing Phone 3 price will be in India. Its previous variant, Nothing Phone (2) was priced at ₹44,999.
