- Ahead of the July 1 launch event, Nothing has released a small teaser that gives a glimpse of the new Glyph Matrix design. It likely uses a dot matrix display, which is a low-cost electronic display technology and is commonly seen in calculators, watches, clocks, etc.
- It may have an LCD or OLED-type panel, which will have a very low resolution. As the name suggests, this panel is made up of a matrix of tiny light dots, some of which can be turned on or off.
- The caption of the post reads, “When light becomes language,” which suggests that this will be a new interface, which will likely be used to give users information about the phone’s various states.
- Like ASUS’s AniMe Vision display, this device could also be a way for customers to show their creativity through custom animations.
- The Glyph Matrix is said to be more customisable than the earlier Glyph interface, which had LED lights in different shapes and designs. The teaser also suggests that the animations seen in it could come with synchronised sound and vibration effects.
