CMF Phone 2: Nothing’s sub-brand CMF is all set to launch a new smartphone in India. The UK-based electronics brand on Thursday posted a teaser on social media, giving a glimpse of the upcoming device’s rear camera module. While the company has not yet revealed its name, it is believed that it could be the CMF Phone 2, which will be the successor to the CMF Phone 1 launched last year. The smartphone will be available for sale through Flipkart.
CMF Phone 2 may launch soon
CMF By Nothing shared a teaser on X (formerly known as Twitter), which reads ‘Coming soon’. The picture shows the phone’s rear panel in CMF’s signature orange color, with a single camera setup visible. This will be different from the dual-camera system of last year’s CMF Phone 1. The camera sensors are placed vertically, and the flash module is present just below them.

- The teaser shows an oval-shaped camera module design at the back. CMF’s signature orange color can be seen on the device.
- The title of the post is “Looking for the perfect shot”, making it clear that the teaser clip is pointing toward the rear camera module design of the device.
- The same image is present in a still form on the Flipkart landing page, but there is no mention of CMF Phone 2 yet.
- Interestingly, the alleged live image that leaked online last month and the teaser shared by the brand appear to have a similar design.
- The leaked image showed two large camera rings placed separately with no borders or wrap around them. Also, another camera sensor was housed in an oval-shaped module along with an LED flash, which matches the design shown in the teaser.
CMF Phone 2: Possible Features and Design
1. New Camera Setup
The teaser suggests that the CMF Phone 2 may feature a single rear camera sensor. While earlier leaked reports suggested a triple-camera setup. The CMF Phone 1 had a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The new phone may use better camera software and image processing.
2. Powerful performance
According to rumors, this phone can be given a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset. The same chipset was also seen in the recently launched Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. This can make the phone’s speed and gaming performance great.
3. Customizable back panel
The back panel of the CMF Phone 2 may have a dial-like screw, which will be for attaching accessories. With the help of this feature, lanyards, phone stands and other accessories can be attached. The design of the phone may be inspired by the CMF Phone 1, which had the option to customize the back panel.
