New Tata Curvv Dark Edition Unveiled: Design, Features & More

Tata Motors has launched the Dark Editions of its new Tata Curvv in India. The company has launched the Dark Edition of both its ICE and EV versions. It has been launched in an all-black theme with a new special edition model, which makes its look more premium than before.

The Curvv Dark Edition is based on the higher variants Accomplished S and Accomplished+ A, which are priced Rs 32,000 more than the standard variant. On the other hand, the Curvv EV Dark Edition is based only on the top spec Empowered+ A variant, which is priced Rs 25,000 more than the regular model.

The ex-showroom price of the Curvv EV Dark Edition has been kept at Rs 22.24 lakh. The price of the Curvv ICE version starts at Rs 16.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.52 lakh. The Curvv EV competes with the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Creta EV. The ICE powered Curvv competes with the Citroen Basalt Dark Edition.

Tata Curvv Dark Edition: Look & Design

In the Curvv Dark Edition, most of the attention has been given to its look and styling. As the name suggests, this SUV has been presented in an all-black theme. It has a glossy black grille, black alloy wheels, roof rails and tinted windscreen. The headlights and taillights have a smoked effect, which gives it an even sportier look.

Apart from this, LED light strip, shark fin antenna and coupe-like sloping roofline will also be seen at the front which makes it stand out from the crowd. A dark edition badge has also been installed at the rear, which will make it look different from the regular model. However, no major changes have been made in the design structure.

The cabin of the Curvv Dark Edition will also have an all-black theme. Leatherette upholstery has been provided on the seats and door trims which gives it a premium feel.

Talking about the features, it has a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver display, 9-speaker JBL sound system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 6-way power driver seat, reclining rear seats, Features like air purifier, automatic climate control and wireless phone charger will be available.

There is no compromise in terms of safety either. It has 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic parking brake (with auto hold), front and rear parking sensors, and Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).

Tata Curvv Dark Edition Engine & Performance

Tata Curvv Dark Edition has been introduced in two engine options petrol and diesel. The petrol version provides a 1.2-liter turbocharged hyperian engine. This engine produces 123 bhp power and 225 Nm of torque. The diesel version provides a 1.5-liter engine, which produces 116 bhp power and 260 Nm of torque. Both engines will be available with an option of 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Apart from the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) version, the Tata Curvv Dark Edition will also be launched in a fully electric version in the coming time. It will have two battery options – 45kWh and 55kWh. It is claimed that the EV model will be able to cover a distance of 505 to 585 kilometers on a single charge. This version will be based on the top-spec Empowered + trim.
