New Mercedes E-Class LWB Launched: Mercedes-Benz India has launched the 6th generation of its most popular model E-Class sedan. It has been launched as LWB in three variants. Its starting ex-showroom price is Rs 78.5 lakh. Let us know what features it has come with and when will its delivery start.
Mercedes E-Class LWB : Interior
The new E-Class features a large superscreen setup with different screens. It has a 12.3-inch digital driver display, 14.4-inch main infotainment screen, and 12.3-inch secondary screen.
Apart from this, features like 64-color customizable ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, wireless charger, multiple Type-C charging ports, auto-dimming IRVM, dashboard-mounted cabin-facing camera, rear AC vents, Burmester-sourced 17-speaker music system, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree surround camera, powered front and rear seats, eight airbags and an ADAS have been provided.
Mercedes E Class LWB: Exterior
The new E-Class is 13mm longer, 14mm taller and has a 15mm longer wheelbase than the previous model. Its side profile has sleek, S-Class-inspired flush door handles and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also has new LED tail lamps with the tri-arrow pattern. Not only this, its top-spec e450 version also gets AMG-line treatment with differently patterned alloy wheels.
Mercedes E-Class LWB : Engine
The new E-Class is available in three engine options, which are a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol, a 2.0-litre diesel and a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. All variants get a nine-speed automatic gearbox with a 48V mild-hybrid system.
- The E-Class 200 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 194 bhp and 320 Nm of torque.
- The E-Class 220d is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 197 bhp and 440 Nm of torque.
- The E-Class 450 4MATIC is powered by a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 375 bhp and 500 Nm of torque.
Mercedes E-Class LWB: Delivery
Delivery of the E-Class 200 variant is going to start this week, while the delivery of E-Class 220d in India will start around Diwali. At the same time, the delivery of E-Class 450 4Matic will start from mid-November.

The sixth generation Mercedes E-Class has been introduced in three variants. They are named e200, e220d and e450 4Matic.
