New Mercedes-AMG G63 launched in India: Mercedes-Benz has launched the new AMG G63 facelift in India, with prices starting at Rs 3.60 crore (ex-showroom, India). The update brings subtle cosmetic changes, a few new features, and some significant mechanical updates as well.

Mercedes-AMG G63 facelift: What’s new?
First up, there are subtle design changes, including a slightly redesigned front bumper (now with vertical slats on the AMG G63) and dark chrome finish on the radiator grille, subtly rounded A-pillars and a new lip added to the windscreen. The latter two changes are designed to improve aerodynamic efficiency and reduce NVH levels, and were inspired by the development of the electric version. At the rear, it gets an optional carbon fibre-finished spare wheel cover.
Mercedes-AMG G63 Design
In terms of design, the iconic shape of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has not been tampered with, but the new G63 features AMG-specific touches such as flared wheel arches, a new AMG-specific bumper, and a more aggressive front fascia than the standard G-Class. You can also choose from 29 MANUFAKTUR exterior paint options available in addition to the standard paint scheme to customize the G63 to your liking.
2024 Mercedes-AMG G63 Interior and Features
The AMG G63 is equipped with the latest MBUX NTG7 infotainment system and also gets AR (augmented reality) navigation. The interior is crafted from Nappa leather with high-quality materials and also features customizable ambient lighting. You can also choose from 31 MANUFAKTUR upholstery options to customize the interior. Other additions to the tech include an off-road cockpit on the dashboard that gives you easy access to off-road functions, as well as a more comprehensive suite of ADAS functions.
Mercedes-AMG G63 Engine and Performance
The G63 features a bi-turbo 4-litre V8 that is now electrified with 48V mild hybrid technology. The power output is 577bhp, with an additional 20bhp boost provided by the mild hybrid technology when required.
The AMG G63 has a top speed of 240 kmph, and power is sent to all four wheels via the AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system, and the G63 also features AMG Active Ride Control suspension. The new AMG G63 now features Race Start (Launch Control) and the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.3 seconds.
Mercedes-AMG G63 Prices
The new Mercedes-AMG G63 is priced starting at ₹ 3.6 Crore and the first batch of the SUV, consisting of 120+ units, has already been reserved in India. However, bookings for the Mercedes-AMG G63 for Q3 2025 have resumed from today.
