Honda India has launched the 2025 model of Honda SP125 in India. The company has made changes in the engine of the 125cc premium commuter motorcycle as per OBD2B emission norms. The bike now comes with some cosmetic changes and features like Bluetooth connectivity and navigation have been provided in it. The bike will also run on E-20 petrol.
Honda SP125 Design
Honda has given the updated motorcycle a sharp front end and tail section with new LED headlamps and taillamps along with aggressive tank shroud, chrome muffler cover and advanced graphics. The bike has 18-inch alloy wheels. It gets 80/100 section tyres at the front and 100/80 section tyres at the rear.
For comfortable riding, the bike has dual telescopic forks in the front and hydraulic type suspension setup in the rear. For braking, the option of 240mm disc and 130mm drum has been given in the front.
Honda SP125 performance
The biggest change in the bike has been made in the engine. It has been given an updated engine as per OBD2B emission norms for performance. This is a 123.94cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine, which generates 10.7BHP of power and 10.9NM of torque. This engine has been tuned with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
OBD2 stands for On-Board Diagnostics Second Version. This system monitors the vehicle’s circuit continuity, misfires, filters and other things. This system monitors the emissions emitted by the vehicle and informs the rider about any malfunction. Vehicles manufactured after April 1, 2025 will have to comply with the government’s emission norms. For this reason, companies are making changes in their models.
Honda SP125 Features
The latest bike now gets a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and Honda RoadSync app support. For better riding, it has features like navigation, voice assist, engine start-stop switch, passing switch and integrated headlamp beam. Apart from this, a USB Type-C charging port has been added to the bike.
The bike also has a combi brake system with rear suspension for the customer. To improve stability and grip level, Honda has increased the width of the rear tyre by 100mm. PGM-FI technology has been used in it, which will make the mileage of the bike even better in the real world.
Honda SP125 Price
The company has launched the bike in two variants. The front drum brake variant with alloy wheels is priced at Rs 91,771 and the front disc brake with alloy variant is priced at Rs 1,00,284.All prices are ex-showroom Delhi. In the 125cc commuter motorcycle segment, the Honda SP125 will compete with the Hero Glamour, Hero Super Splendor, Honda Shine, TVS Rider, etc.
