Land Rover has introduced a new variant of its iconic Defender, the Defender 110 Trophy Edition. This special model is going to be displayed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed soon and has been designed in honor of the company’s historic Camel Trophy Edition. Along with this, Land Rover has also started the Defender Trophy competition held in Africa with the help of Tusk Organization.
Design and Styling Inspired by Camel Trophy
Trophy-inspired colors and exterior – This edition will be available in two attractive colors – Deep Sandglow Yellow and Keswick Green. Some parts of the body like bonnet, lower side and brake calipers have been given black finish, which makes its look more powerful. It has 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels, rugged all-terrain tires, ‘Trophy’ badging, dark rear scuff plate and ebony Windsor leather seats.
Off-Road Equipment – For off-roading, accessories like roof rack, roof ladder, front and rear mudflaps and snorkel (raised air intake) can also be given in it.
Land Rover Defender 110 Trophy Edition Engine Options
3.0L Diesel Engine Performance – It is powered by a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel engine that produces 355 bhp of power. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.1 seconds.
Plug-in Hybrid Powertrain with 2.0L Turbo Petrol – The other option is a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine paired with a plug-in hybrid system. This combination produces a total of 305 bhp of power and the SUV takes 7.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph.
Defender Trophy Edition Price and Availability
The price of this special variant starts at 89,810 euros (approx. Rs. 1.04 crore) in the UK. In India, Land Rover is already selling the Defender 90, 110 and 130 variants, which are available with 2.0L turbo petrol, 3.0L diesel, 5.0L petrol V8 and 4.4L turbo petrol V8 engine options. The company also sells special edition variants like the Defender Octa (₹ 2.59 crore) and Edition One (₹ 2.79 crore).
