The new Carnival will be imported as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). With import duties and other taxes, the Kia Carnival is expected to be priced around Rs 50 lakh. Prices are expected to come down later when local assembly begins.
At the time of launch on October 3, the Kia Carnival will not have any direct rivals. In terms of price, it could be an upgrade to the Toyota Innova HyCross or a more affordable option than the Vellfire. Even when the locally assembled Carnival is introduced, it will still be more expensive than the higher variants of the Innova HyCross.
