Thijs van der Hilst, a psychotherapist from Netherland made this pillow. Inside the pillow is cotton, now you would ask what’s special in this. Every pillow has cotton so it’s not something unique.
Well, he used the world’s finest cotton i.e. Egyptian cotton to make the pillow. Highest quality of silk is used to make the pillow cover. It also has a non-toxic memory foam which means its chemical free. That’s not it.
For a pillow to be special requires something more and pillow’s zip is that one special thing. The zip 4 diamonds, 24-carat gold, and sapphire. All together these materials and robotic filling of cotton makes it most expensive pillow in the world.
And to your surprise, the packaging is also branded which further increases its cost.

The pillow cost $57,000 USD which is Rs 4.5 Millions. Thijs took 15 years to make this one pillow and is planning to make customize pillow for customers. For this, accurate measurement of user’s head, neck, and shoulder will be taken.
Measurement of upper body and sleeping position also matters to make the pillow. Thijs said the pillow is specially made for people with sleep issue.
Considering the cost of pillow, we don’t think a fancy stuff likes this can make anyone sleep comfortably. The price alone is enough to make you sleepless. What’s your thought onto this?
