Another big name is revealed in the drug case yesterday. Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested Actor Ajaz Khan last night after a detailed interrogation. The former contestant was detained followed by the raids at his Mumbai resident from where the officials collected alprazolam tablets.
Upon which, officials summoned Ajaz for further investigation yesterday, however, the actor denied having any drugs found at his home.
Actor Denied The Allegations
Alprazolam is a drug used to treat anxiety and depression. Ajaz claimed that his wife used to take those pills since her miscarriage. Talking to the media reporters, he further said, “What they got was four sleeping pills.”

On Tuesday, Ajaz landed at Mumbai airport after his trip to Rajasthan during which NCB officials took him into custody. However, the actor said, “neither was anything found from my home nor the airport.” He discarded all the allegations of NCB summoning him for investigation and said he voluntarily went to meet the officers.

Officials questioned him for continuous 8 hours and Ajaz also underwent a medical examination after which he was arrested and will be presented in the NDPS court today as per the reports.
The investigation began after Shadab Farooque Shaikh revealed his name after which probes were conducted at the two different locations of Mumbai. Officials had also recovered around 2kg of mephedrone drug from Shadab.
This was not the first time when Ajaz was arrested regarding a drug case. In 2018, Mumbai police took him into custody after recovering MD drugs worth 1 lakh as per the reports. In the past years, Ajaz was also arrested in a defamation case, spreading hate and violation as well as posting objectionable videos on his social media handles.
NCB has been very active since the drug case angle revealed in the investigation of the death mystery of Late actor Sushant Singh. Many famous celebs from Bollywood were also arrested and questioned regarding the use of drugs. This included “Padmavati” fame Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha, Rakulpreet, Bharti Singh, and her husband.
