Mumbai streets have been one of the busiest and the life of the people here is very fast. People often don’t get time to eat and sleep properly. In their busy schedule, the Mumbai dabbawalas come to rescue providing home-cooked food to the city.
We have seen these dabbawalas getting featured in many movies but the glamour world has not been able to provide a roof for them. They work day and night to provide 5 lakh, people, good food.
According to the reports by Mumbai Mirror, Maharashtra govt is planning to provide homes to them under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar has been constantly trying to provide roofs to dabbawalas and in a meeting, he announced this decision.
Finally a sigh of relief and a ray of hope for Mumbai Dabbawalas.
