The man who led CSK to three IPL titles, hints on going back to the auction pool ahead of IPL 2021 and we’re as confused as you are!
*What, in the name of Holy God?*
Reportedly, MS Dhoni has let the management know that he is open to the prospect of going back into the auction pool.
Before you jump to conclusions (typical Millenials) let me put some light on the reasons and implication of this very facade.
According to a CSK source:
“He said he can go back to the auction pool. That will give CSK the option of using the right-to-match card to pick him, maybe for a lower price. Being the captain that he is, Dhoni is ready to sacrifice money for CSK.”
So basically, he is going back to the auction pool so that CSK can get him back at a lower price!
*Ek Hi Toh Dil Hai, Kitni Bar Jeetoge Mahi!*
Further, putting on end on his retirement rumours, the source added:
“There will be a big auction before the 2021 IPL and Dhoni has told us that he will play the tournament. So, there’s no question of his retirement from the T20 version anytime soon. We know what Dhoni means to us. We don’t want him to go back to the auction pool”
*I wish ‘some other’ people also knew ‘what’ MS Dhoni is!*
Anyway, now that since Dhoni’s future with Indian team has become a raging debate, news of his retirement comes and goes frequently.
Dhoni has been on self-imposed sabbatical ever since India’s exit from World Cup semi-finals in July this year, and ahead of the T-20 World Cup 202, he’s not selected for the T-20 series against West Indies.
*Must say, ‘the boys’ played well*
We can only hope and wish for his return (which we anyway do) and maybe pray to God to put some sense in the selectors!
