MP Government Approves 1431 New Jobs in Power Transmission
In the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, a proposal to amend the organizational structure of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company has been passed. Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar said, creation of 1431 new regular posts has also been approved. Energy Department has been authorized for the recruitment process.
Transmission Capacity Doubled in 12 Years, Need for Workforce Increased
Energy Minister Tomar said, this decision of the government will bring qualitative improvement in the company’s work. In the year 2012, the capacity of the transmission company was 35 thousand megawatts. This capacity has now increased to more than 80 thousand megawatts, but the number of posts was not increased. Due to this the work was getting affected.
What This Means for Contract Employees?
Energy Minister Tomar said, the contract employees serving in Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company will continue to serve until they reach the age limit, get regularly selected and the contract expires.
The company has calculated the vacant posts for regular direct recruitment by reducing the number of contract employees working at that time. Hence, the new recruitment will not affect their jobs.
