Microsoft has said that Skype users can log in to Microsoft Teams with their existing credentials and it will be completely free. Skype users will continue to get all the features on Teams including calling, sending messages, sharing files, hosting meetings and joining communities for free. If a Skype user logs in to Teams with his existing credentials, then his chats and contacts will automatically come here. This means that users can log in to Teams from where they logged out of Skype.

Both Skype and Teams can also be used

Users have the option to use Teams along with Skype. Both platforms can be used till May 5. On May 5, Skype will say goodbye and users will only have the option of Teams. Let us tell you that the company has discontinued Skype’s paid service for new users. These include Skype credit and calling subscriptions etc. Existing subscribers will be able to use the credit and plan till their renewal period. Microsoft has said that even after May 5, paid users will be able to access Skype Dial Pad through the web portal.
