MG Windsor EV Pro: JSW MG Motor India launched the Windsor EV in the Indian market in 2024. Since then, the electric vehicle has gained a distinctive position in the automaker’s lineup by bringing good sales numbers. Now, the brand is set to launch a new version of the vehicle called the Windsor EV Pro. It will be a high-tech version of the vehicle, bringing changes to the powertrain, feature list, safety, and more.
What will be new in MG Windsor EV Pro?
- The MG Windsor PRO has been designed keeping in mind the rising expectations of the people. Its new model will have advanced technology, improved safety, premium interiors, convenience, style, and a new battery pack.
- The Windsor PRO will get new ADAS features like lane departure warning, autonomous cruise control, and automatic emergency braking. Also, an upgrade to the G-Jio innovative connectivity platform will be available, which will have 100+ AI-powered voice commands and real-time navigation.
- For the safety of the passengers, it will get features like 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, 360-degree camera, and ESC. Apart from this, a better tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and hill-hold assist can also be included.
- It can be given a premium cabin like before. It will have ventilated front seats, better leatherette upholstery, and possibly an upgraded 15.6-inch Grandview touch display. At the same time, the reclining feature of rear seats and 604-liter boot space will also be given. Features like a powered tailgate, wireless charging, and automatic climate control will be improved in it.
- The Windsor Pro will get a bigger battery than the current model. It can get a 50 kWh or 55 kWh battery pack, which can give a range of up to 450-500 km after full charge. The bigger battery is being given so that it can also cover longer distances.
MG Windsor EV Pro: Features, Interior
Apart from this, the cabin of the MG Windsor EV Pro will also get changes. It will have dual-tone interiors featuring a black and brown colour combination with wooden textures. This will be complemented by improved safety with the presence of ADAS features. These will work in conjunction with sensors and cameras. The car will also get a vehicle-to-load feature, which means the power of the vehicle can be used to power other devices. It will also have some additional convenience features.
MG Windsor EV Pro: Price
The current version of the MG Windsor EV is sold at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). With the above changes, the Windsor EV Pro is expected to get costlier
