Ballon d’Or 2021 was held last night in Paris where the famous footballer of all time Lionel Messi was awarded the honor. He won the prestigious award for scoring the most goals in a season 7th time in a row but Messi thought somebody else deserve it more. Robert Lewandowski who plays for Bayern Munich is the true winner and he should have it, said Messi.

Bayern Munich’s main striker Robert Lewandowski was leading in the table with 48 goals for the 2020-21 season last year. He was the winner of Ballon d’Or 2020 but due to a pandemic, the award ceremony was canceled. So, this year he should have been given the honor which did not happen instead the organizer declared the winner of 2021 only.

Lionel Messi took the entire matter on stage and clearly mentioned it. “You deserve your Ballon d’ Or. I hope France Football can give it to you so you can have it in your house because you were the just winner, you have to have it in your house,’ said 34-years old Argentine footballer.
Robert Lewandowski was second in the list instead with only 33 points.

‘A Liar’- Ronaldo To Chief Of Ballon d’Or
Cristiano Ronaldo got angry with Pascal Ferre, who is the editor-in-chief of France Football, for what he said a day before the ceremony. He said, “Ronaldo has only one ambition, and that is to retire with more Ballons d’Or than Messi.”
Upon this, Ronaldo posted a long statement on Instagram clarifying his real ambition and how much disrespect Ferre’s word caused to him. He claimed Ferre used his name to promote his works which is totally unacceptable. Cristiano also said that his only goal is to win for the club, fans, and himself.

“I don’t win against someone,” said Ronaldo and also mention what his biggest aim is. He wants to be an example for every footballer in the world and his name should shine in the history of football with golden letters.
