Recently it has been spotted during testing. The company has hidden its logo and Hustler branding during testing. Even the wheel center hub cap has been removed. The Suzuki Hustler has many crossover elements like roof rails and body cladding. It has a flat and up-right bonnet. It is quite boxy. It may be based on the Heartect platform.
The overall silhouette of the Maruti Suzuki Hustler is quite boxy. It looks like something a 5-year-old would have built in his childhood. In terms of powertrain, the Suzuki Hustler sold in Japan is usually powered by a 660cc (0.66-litre) three-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is designed in accordance with Japan’s kei car regulations. These regulations impose strict limits on engine displacement and dimensions to be eligible for tax and insurance benefits.
The Suzuki Hustler is powered by a naturally aspirated 660cc engine. This motor produces around 48-52 PS, and it comes mated to a CVT. Meanwhile, there is also a turbocharged version, which makes slightly more power – around 64 PS – and it also comes mated to a CVT.
When can it be launched in India?
According to media reports, the Maruti Suzuki Hustler is a tallboy vehicle. It measures 3,395 mm in length and 1,475 mm in width. If Suzuki plans to launch it in India, there will be a longer Indian version of the Hustler. Hyundai launched a similar India-spec Exter based on the Korea-spec Casper. Talking about its launch in India, Suzuki has tested some of its global vehicles in India, which have not been launched here.
