Maruti Suzuki has launched the commercial version of its best-selling sedan Dzire, the Tour-S, in India. The Tour-S is based on the base variant LXi of Dzire. It is offered with both petrol and CNG powertrain options. The company claims that the CNG version of the car will give a mileage of 33.73km/kg. The updated sedan has been introduced in a single variant. The ex-showroom starting price of its standard model is Rs 6.79 lakh. Whereas, the CNG version costs Rs 7.74 lakh.
First Sedan with a 5-Star Safety Rating
Maruti launched the fourth generation model of Dzire in November last year. The new Dzire comes with a 5-star safety rating. The car was crash tested at Global NCAP. This is the company’s first car to receive a 5-star safety rating from any crash test agency and also the first 5-star rated sedan in India.
Maruti Dzire Tour-S Design
The new Maruti Suzuki Tour-S is also based on the platform of the company’s hatchback Maruti Swift and its design is similar to the fourth generation Dzire. The car is available only in Arctic White color. Its front has a large grill with multiple horizontal slats.
The grille is flanked by sleek halogen headlights on either side, with DRL (daytime running lights) installed in a horizontal layout. A new style fog lamp housing is available on its front bumper.
Its side profile and window line are still the same as the old version. Here you will get 14-inch steel rims with black door handles and ORVMs. Dzire gets 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the same time, there is a body color shark fin antenna on top.
Since the Tour-S is based on the LXi variant of the Dzire, it does not have the option of a sunroof. At the rear, it has Y-shaped LED taillights, which are connected to a chrome element. Suzuki badging has been given above it. ‘Tour S’ badging has been given on the lower left part of the bootlid.
Maruti Dzire Tour-S Interior
Inside, the Dzire Tour-S has a functional and minimum cabin. The interior is designed in a dual-tone black and beige theme, with some notable upgrades on the base variants. The cabin includes manual AC, four power windows, keyless entry and adjustable front headrest.
However, Tour-S lacks an infotainment system, which is more suitable for customers looking for budget-friendly, no-frills experience. There are a manual gear shifter and two cup holders for added facility in the center console
Maruti Dzire Tour-S Safety Feature
The Dzire Tour S has a dual-tone black and beige cabin theme. It has manual AC with physical controls, while the Tour-S lacks an infotainment system. Its center console has a manual gear shifter and two cup holders. It has features like keyless entry, all power windows and adjustable headrests for the front seats. For the safety of the passengers, the new Tour S has safety features like 6 airbags, hill hold assist, electronic stability control (ESC) and reverse parking sensor.
Maruti Dzire Tour-S Performance
The sedan is powered by the same 1.2-litre Z-series three-cylinder petrol engine as the fourth-generation Dzire. This engine produces 82hp of power and 112Nm of torque. For transmission, the engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the Dzire also has the option of a 5-speed automatic. The same engine generates 70hp of power and 102Nm of torque with CNG.
When it comes to fuel efficiency, the petrol version offers 24.79 km/L mileage with a manual transmission. The CNG version is even more fuel-skilled, offering 33.73 km/kg of mileage, making it an excellent choice for cost-conscious buyers.
Maruti Dzire Tour-S Price
The price of the petrol variant of Maruti Dzire Tour S is Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). At the same time, the price of its CNG variant is Rs 7.74 lakh. All these prices are ex-showroom. This new Dzire Tour S is not only safe, but also more economical and reliable. It has options like Arctic White, Splendid Silver and Bluish Black.
