Shooter Manu Bhaker, who won 2 bronze medals for the country in the Paris Olympics, will be given the Khel Ratna Award. Earlier it was reported that Manu Bhaker’s name has not been selected for Khel Ratna, but now this legendary player is going to get the country’s biggest sports award. Manu Bhaker won bronze medals in 10-meter air pistol and 25-meter air pistol in the Paris Olympics. She is the first Indian to win two medals in the same Olympics.
The Sports Ministry announced the National Sports Award 2024 on 2 January 2025. That the President of India Draupadi Murmu will give this award to all the winners on 17 January 2025 at 11 am in Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Khel Ratna Award gives Rs 25 lakh
Let us tell you that Major Dhyanchand Khel Ratna Award is the highest sports honor given in India. Under this honor, the player or athlete receiving the award is given Rs 25 lakh. Along with this, a trophy and a citation are also given. Let us tell you that earlier the players receiving the Khel Ratna award used to get only Rs 7.5 lakh, but in the year 2020 it was increased to 25 lakhs.
