The family had issued a statement
Malaika Arora and her family had issued an official statement on the death of Anil Mehta. He said in it, ‘We are very sad to inform that our loving father Anil Kuldeep Mehta is no more. He was a humble person, a good grandfather, a loving husband and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock and we request privacy from the media and our well-wishers at this difficult time. Called daughters before suicide
According to the police, Malaika Arora’s father Anil Mehta spoke to his two daughters Malaika and Amrita on the morning of 11 September before committing suicide. During the conversation, Anil had said, ‘I’m sick and tired.’ When Anil committed suicide, Malaika’s mother was at home. Anil told both the daughters that he was troubled by his illness. In the name of smoking a cigarette, he went to the balcony and committed suicide.
Malaika’s mother Joyce Polycorp was suspicious
Anil Mehta lived on the sixth floor of the Ayesha Manor building in Bandra. Malaika Arora’s mother Joyce also lives on the same floor in the same building. Anil did not come to say hello to her on the morning of September 11. This was their daily routine. Due to this, she felt that something was wrong. Malaika Arora and her family are in deep shock due to Anil Mehta’s sudden demise. The actress was in Pune at the time of her father’s suicide. As soon as she got the news, she came to Mumbai and has been with her family since then. Anil Mehta’s last rites will be held on September 12, for which stars have reached the crematorium.
