Mahindra’s new design Mahindra Thar Roxx has been launched on the night of August 14, just a day before Independence Day. The company has also finalized the launch date of this 5-door sedan. Mahindra has started taking stock of Thar Roxx from the month of October. Along with this, the company has planned to deliver this car this month.

Variants and Price
The Thar Rocks will be available in multiple trims, such as MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3, AX5 and AX7. However, Mahindra has announced the prices of select trims of the petrol and diesel variants.

Dimensions
The Mahindra Thar Roxx measures 4,428 mm in length, 1,870 mm in width and 1,923 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,850 mm, while the front and rear wheel track measure 1,580 mm. It uses a 57-litre fuel tank. The Thar has a boot space of 447 litres. The approach, break over and departure angles are 41.7 degrees, 36.1 degrees and 23.9 degrees respectively. It also has a water wading depth of 650 mm.
Engine and Gearbox
The Roxx is available with two engine options – the 2.0L mStallion turbo-petrol and the 2.2L mHawk turbo-diesel. These are available with two transmission options – a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. Also, there are a variety of tunings available for these engine options. The turbo-petrol generates a maximum power output of 162 hp and a peak torque of 330 Nm with the manual gearbox. On the other hand, with the automatic, the peak output increases to 1000 Nm. 177 hp and 380 Nm. Talking about the oil burner, it puts out a rated output of 152 hp and 330 Nm with stick shift, while the automatic gearbox takes these numbers up to 175 hp and 370 Nm.
Colour Options
The carmaker is offering a total of seven colour options for the Thar Roxx – Stealth Black, Tango Red, Everest White, Deep Forest, Nebula, Battleship Grey and Burnt Sienna. All these paint schemes are paired with a black roof.
