Mahindra Scorpio Lists More Than 69,000 Unit Sales in 2022-23

The Scorpio from Mahindra is considered the second best-selling SUV for the carmaker. The Bolero occupies the first position. After the Scorpio-N was launched in 2022, the sales charts of Mahindra have represented majestic growth. 

Let’s take a deep dive and witness how Scorpio came up with and gave its best to increase the sale of the brand in the past 11 months.

In the time period of April 2022 to February 2023, a total of 69,324 units of Scorpio and Scorpio-N were sold out. Out of the total number, about 68,147 units were sold out in the domestic market.

If we compare the number from the previous year in that same duration, about 32,635 unit sales were listed. This year witnessed a 108% of growth than that of the previous year. 

At the same time, 1,898 units were sent to the international markets. 

Till January 2023, the Scorpio and Scorpio-N altogether stood for 1.19 open bookings for the automaker. This was followed by Mahindra Thar and Mahindra XUV700 having 37,000 and 77,000 booking open, respectively.

If you want to purchase the new Scorpio-N, then you have to wait for about 24 weeks to 65 weeks, relying on the model you are going for. It can happen in Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L models. 

If we go for the Scorpio Classic, the SUV is provided in S and S11 models for which clients will have to wait for 26 weeks. 

Price Of Mahindra Scorpio

The prices of the Mahindra Scorpio were amended in January 2023. The Scorpio models got more expensive by Rs. 85,000 and at the same time, Scorpio-N got the highest surge of up to Rs 1.35 lakh.

The Scorpio-N as well as its variants stand at Rs. 12 lakhs to Rs 19 lakh for the petrol-based model and Rs 12.5 lakh to Rs 19.5 for all diesel models. Mahindra revealed that the company will sell the first 25,000 units at ‘introductory’ prices that it had publicized earlier. 

At the same time, others will come at a price persuading at the time of delivery. 

The Scorpio-N is fighting with the models like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and its own sister XUV700.

The firm has revealed that the N on the new model represents the change in the product and the Scorpio brand in the last two decades.

Revealing the model in late June, Rajesh Jejurikar, the executive director of auto and farm sectors at Mahindra & Mahindra revealed the firm is bullish about combining its position in the main SUV market with the Scorpio-N.
