Lockdown In India May Extend Till September Due To Rising COVID-19 Cases

The lockdown due to coronavirus was announced till 14 April by PM Modi. The worldwide spread of the virus has made an exponential rise on infected patients. The infection started off with Wuhan in December and migrated to other cities as well.

As per the last announcement made by PM Modi, the lockdown was supposed to end on 14 April but after the increasing number of cases in the UK and India, the lockdown might get extended.

According to tp a study by American consulting firm Boston Consulting Group, the lockdown might get extended till September. The conditions are worsening and thousands of people have lost their lives. In no time the Nizamuddin Markaz incident made an exponential spike in the COVID-19 cases in India.

On 4 April, the cases in India have touched 2900 and the 77 death have been reported. The metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai where the maximum cases have been reported might face the extension of lockdown period.

No official announcement has been made for the further extension till now. The remaining 10 days lockdown period is extremely crucial for India.
