Lockdown 2021: Pune Under A Week Long Lockdown, MP May Face The Same

The last 24 hours have forced Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackrey to impose lockdown once again due to the rising cases of covid-19 in Pune. This time the lockdown is stricter than before and no political, agitations will be allowed for upcoming days.

CM Uddhav Thackrey has also warned people against the second wave of covid-19 and requested everyone to strictly follow the lockdown guidelines. All public and social events are restricted from today.

Around 849 people were tested positive last night raising the total number of covid-19 cases to 6,281 in the state. Seeing the sudden spike in cases, the Maharashtra government had imposed the night curfew in the city from 11 pm to 6 pm.

All the educational institutions are closed and will remain shut till 28th February. The upcoming week is very crucial for Maharashtra as the state may experience a complete lockdown if the active cases keep on rising.

And this is not worrisome for the Maharashtra government only, even Madhya Pradesh is witnessing the sudden rise in covid-19 patients within the last 24 hours.

Around 104 fresh cases in Indore and 76 in Bhopal have raised the tension among the MP government following which the government may impose lockdown to curb the virus. However, there is no official circular released by the state government.

According to sources, there are a total of 43, 617 confirmed cases in Bhopal, and 58, 756 cases in Indore.
