Kia India is preparing to launch its new SUV Siros in the Indian market. According to media reports, the company has also started its offline booking at some dealerships. The Kia Siros will be offered with a 1.0 turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5 diesel engine option.
Kia Syros: Exterior
Kia India has also recently shared teasers of the car on the social media platform X. In these, some designing elements of the car have been shown by the company.
The syros will get vertically stacked 3-pod LED headlights with long LED DRLs on the sides. The SUV’s design also features large window panels, a flat roof and a sharp kink in the window beltline along with a C-pillar.
There will be raised wheel arches, shoulder lines and flush-fitting door handles. Its exterior design is completed by long roof rails, L-shaped tail lights and upright tailgate. The car can get 16-inch crystal cut alloy wheels.
Kia Syros: interior
The company has not shared the details of the cabin of the Syros, but it is expected that a dual-tone interior theme can be found inside like the Sonet and Seltos. A new 10.25-inch digital driver display can be given on the dashboard below this. However, according to the recently leaked photo, a new 2-spoke steering wheel will be given.
Apart from this, features like infotainment touchscreen with 70+ connected car features, ventilated front seats, 4-way powered adjustable driver seat, 7-speaker Bose audio system, wireless phone charging, in-built air purifier, 360-degree camera and a voice operated sunroof can be offered.
Kia Syros: Performance
Like the Sonet, the Syros may also be offered with multiple engine and transmission options. The entry-level variant may be powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with 82bhp power and 115Nm torque, which will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
There will be a 1-litre turbo petrol engine option with 118bhp and 172Nm of torque, which will come with two transmission options – 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and 6-speed clutchless manual.
Apart from this, the third option will also be a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 114bhp of power and 250Nm of torque, with which the option of 6-speed clutchless manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission will be given.
Kia Syros: Features
For safety, the Syros will get features like Electronic Brake Distribution, Emergency Stop Signal, Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and Antilock Brake System (ABS) like Sonet and Seltos. Apart from this, 6 airbags will be provided as standard in all variants.
Apart from this, the Syros can be given 17 autonomous level-2 features like the Seltos. These include smart cruise control with stop and go, front collision warning (FCW), lane keep assist, rear blind spot collision avoidance and autonomous emergency braking.
Kia Syros: Price
The SUV will be launched in the global market on December 19. According to Autocar India, the price of the car is expected to be announced at the India Mobility Show in January, where the car will be showcased to the public for the first time.
The price of Kia Syros can start from Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). Its delivery is expected to start in late January or early February next year.
