Two-wheeler maker Kawasaki India has launched its first road-legal dual-sport motorcycle KLX230 in the Indian market. The bike is equipped with features like disc brakes with switchable ABS and all LED lighting setup. The motorcycle is offered in a single variant and two color options. These include Lime Green and Battle Gray colors.

Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 3.3 lakh. Booking of the bike has already started. Now it is officially available for sale in India. Its delivery will start early next year. It will compete with Hero Xpulse 200 4V and Royal Enfield Himalayan in India.

The KLX230 features a powerful yet slim design reminiscent of the KLX family. It features hexagonal headlights, a slim single-piece seat, a beak-like fender and a 7.6-litre fuel tank. Apart from this, the bike also gets a monotone LCD with Bluetooth connectivity and an optional lower seat.

The new Kawasaki KLX 230 motorcycle is an aggressive looking dual sport bike. It has a slim seat and raised exhaust. It also has an LCD screen. Apart from this, a plastic cowl is seen all around along with the hexagonal headlight. Also, it has a high-mounted mudguard and a small 7.6-liter fuel tank. The KLX 230 motorcycle has a long tail section. Its seat height is 880 mm and weight is 139 kg, which makes it suitable for off-roading.

The Kawasaki KLX 230 has a 233cc single cylinder air-cooled engine, which is capable of generating 18.1bhp of power and 18.3Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Front telescopic forks for long travel and rear monoshock give it excellent handling.
The Kawasaki KLX 230 has an excellent braking system, with disc brakes at the front and rear. Its 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels are shod with road-biased tyres, which are suitable for both off-road and on-road.
