“I Was Perfectly F***able,” Jennifer Lawrence Shared A Humiliating Experience

Not only in Bollywood, but body shaming has been a problem for actresses all over the world. And according to the Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence, it is more common in America.

In an old interview, she shared opened up about an incident when she was humiliated by a film producer because of being overweight. Jennifer revealed that the incident goes back to when she wasn’t a well-established actress.

In 2017, Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence appeared in ELLE’s Women in Hollywood. At the event, she talked about one of her most humiliating experiences in the film industry.

According to her, a female producer forced her to lose weight. Lawerence said, “When I was much younger and starting out, I was told by producers of a film to lose 15 pounds in two weeks. One girl before me had already been fired for not losing enough weight fast enough.” However, she did not mention any name.

Apart from this, Jennifer also opened up about a humiliating incident when a producer commented on her fat body. She said, “During this time, a female producer had me do a nude lineup with about five women who were much, much thinner than me.”

“And we all stood side-by-side with only paste-on covering our privates. After that degrading and humiliating lineup, the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet.”

Thereafter, Lawrence said that she went to another producer for help, but it also ended up very badly. The actress said, “He responded by telling me he didn’t know why everyone thought I was so fat, he thought I was perfectly ‘f***able.”

At last, the X-men actress added, “I was young and walking that fine line of sticking up for myself without being called difficult, which they did call me, but I believe the word they used was ‘nightmare.”
