During the concert in Boston on Friday, the band crew members had a brawl on stage that shocked the audience.
Jane Addiction Perry Farrell Gets Into Brawl With Guitarist Dave Navarro
Jane Addiction concert was going on in Boston USA. Their lead singer Perry Farrell was in a rhythm of rock songs and singing a song called “Ocean Size” the 11th number in a set that usually stretches out to 14 or 15 songs.
Perry Farrell who chucked out lots of wine while performing at the gig, was grunting and yelling at the crowd of the Leader Bank Pavillion “Fuck You” before screaming into the microphone. He was in a drunken state.
Perry Farrell seemingly agitated then turned to Navarro on his right side, where he again screamed and threw his shoulder into the Guitaris Navarro, who was unaware of Perry’s sudden moment of anger.
The two rockers confronted each other while Farrell inched closer to the guitarist Dave, who held him away from his hand. Farrell throws elbows at the guitarist when multiple crew members and bandmates including bassist Eric Avery singer started yelling at them “Stop”.
Then, the light dimmed and the hot-headed singer was escorted away from the stage.
The rest of the bandmates’ three members – Navarro, Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins came to the front stage, raised their hands above their heads, tapped their chests, and gave a piece sign to the crowd, who cheered up the rock band.
The Reason Behind The Jane Addiction’s Perry Farrell Scuffle
One of the photographers Brian Mackenzie who was snapping a picture for the show at that venue, posted on Twitter that the tension was a bit between the bandmates.
He said “Perry had a huge bottle of wine with him all evening, Navarro and Avery kept chatting with each other the whole show and seemed angrier than normal,”
The Creative Loafing is the Atlanta and Florida-based newspaper that wrote the review of the situation and wrote, “Farrell launched into many nonsensical rants about cow pastures, mushrooms, surfing, living in Florida, and arguing with his brother about politics, among other undecipherable comments” while “chugging from a full bottle of wine throughout the performance. … At one point, during one of his ramblings, Navarro deliberately cranked out a loud, piercing chord on his guitar, as almost to silence Farrell and get the show back on track.”
Nobody in the bandmates commented about the situation. The tour will be going to wrap up on 16th Oct. in Los Angeles.
