Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday reported that each of the four doors of Jagannath Temple will open for lovers from tomorrow first thing. Following the first cabinet meeting of the new BJP government, the announcement was made.
Majhi let columnists know that the entryways – Simhadwara (Lion Door), Ashwadwara (Horse Door), Vyaghradwara (Tiger Door), Hastidwara (Elephant Entryway) – situated on the four sides of the sanctuary will be opened within the sight of all clergymen.
One Of The Election Promise Done By BJP
One of the most important election promises made by the Bharatiya Janata Party was to open all of the gates to the Jagannath Temple in Puri.
Majhi declared, “Four entrance gates of Puri Jagannath Temple will be opened tomorrow in the presence of all ministers.”
Gates Were Closed From Covid Time
During the Covid pandemic, the centuries-old temple’s doors were all locked. After some time had passed, devotees were permitted to enter the temple through Simhadwara, while other gates remained closed, causing a great deal of commotion and lengthy lines.
The Odisha CM itemized a few other key choices from the cupboard meeting. One of these is the establishment of a corpus fund for the Shri Jagannath Temple totaling 500 crore rupees to support the temple’s upkeep and expansion.
