iPhone 15 Pro New Renders Reveal Titanium Frame, Bigger Cameras, USB-C Support, and More

In February, rough CAD-based renders of the rumored iPhone 15 Pro were released, showcasing a deep red ‘hero color’. Recently, the same source has provided new and more polished renders of higher quality, giving us a clearer and more detailed glimpse of Apple’s upcoming premium smartphone, expected to be released in September.

Titanium frame

The adoption of a new titanium casing with smoother, more rounded edges is likely to be the most significant improvement made by the iPhone 15 Pro, according to common speculations. The user experience is expected to shift noticeably, despite the design’s apparent simplicity, especially for those who have complained about the uncomfortable sharp edges of earlier iPhone models.

iPhone 15 models Cameras

Apple is once again expanding the cameras on the iPhone 15 Pro in addition to the new titanium frame. The camera bump is bigger, but the protruding lenses are the more obvious difference. The individual lens protrusion from the massive cameras on the iPhone 14 Pro has increased significantly, according to CAD data.

It is important to remember that the iPhone 15 Pro Max appears to have a smaller camera protrusion in CAD files. This may be because the larger Pro Max model will likely be the only one to feature a periscope camera this year, thus indicating that the camera bump on the iPhone 15 Pro will be larger than on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The next camera improvements are a given, and if the size of the cameras is any indication, Apple is getting ready for a major upgrade. According to rumors, the new sensor technology in the iPhone 15 Pro will “catch more light and reduce overexposure or underexposure in certain circumstances.”

USB-C on iPhone 15 models

There is a lot of speculation that the iPhone 15 lineup will feature USB-C ports across all models. A prototype device leak suggests that the USB-C port will have a distinctive metal frame with a ribbed texture. As is typical of Apple, only USB-C cables that have been certified by the company will support the fastest charging speeds.

iPhone 15 models: Haptic volume and mute buttons

The iPhone 15 Pro will have solid-state haptic and mute buttons, so say goodbye to buttons and mute switches. The most recent information is that two new haptic engines specifically designed to simulate pressing a button will take the place of the buttons.

It has been exclusively revealed by Filipe Esposito of 9to5Mac that the mute switch will also get the haptic treatment and work as a push button instead; it is unclear how Apple will handle this new input in the software.

Tiny bezels

This year, Apple will continue to reduce the bezels; the iPhone 15 Pro’s bezels are only 1.55 mm thick. We can also see that the edges of the front and rear glass are slightly curved, blending into the titanium frame of the device.

iPhone 15 Pro’s all-new color

The iPhone 15 Pro will be available in a brand-new deep red hue with the exact color code “410D0D,” according to information obtained by 9to5Mac. This is probably the most exciting upgrade. This shade is expected to replace Deep Purple and sit among Apple’s standard White, Space Black, and Gold.

Dimensions

The iPhone 15 Pro will be somewhat smaller than the iPhone 14 Pro due to lower bezels and similar full-screen size. The phone should be more comfortable to hold, with more rounded edges.

The i’Phone 15 Pro measures 70.46mm by 146.47mm, with a thickness of 8.24mm, while the iPhone 14 Pro measures 71.45mm by 147.46mm and is slightly thicker at 7.84mm.
