India wrote history today by touching the 100 crore mark in the Covid-19 vaccination program, the feat earlier achieved only by China this year in June. The country is not only the second after China to vaccinate around 1 billion people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated and expressed gratitude to all the vaccine manufacturing companies, health sector professionals, people involved in vaccine transportation, and 130 crore Indians to make this possible.
आज 21 अक्टूबर, 2021 का ये दिन, इतिहास में दर्ज हो गया है।
भारत ने अब से कुछ देर पहले 100 करोड़ वैक्सीन डोज का आंकड़ा पार कर लिया है।

Mandaviya said that it is all possible because of the strong leadership of Modi that India can successfully vaccinate people in large amounts. It’s been only 9 months since the country started the covid-19 vaccination program.

Achieving this feat in such a limited time is not something that can be done without an organized plan, leadership, dedication, and efforts. The entire health sector and frontline warriors are truly behind it.

As far as the number of doses is concerned, India has 75 percent of the population vaccinated with at least the first dose. Only 31 percentages of people are those administered with both covid-19 vaccine doses. The country already crossed the 10 Crore mark in 86 days of the program which initially started on 16th January.

At first, senior citizens were facilitated with the dose as they were most vulnerable. Later adults and teens were administered and now India is all set to vaccinate the youngest warriors i.e. kids.
India’s billion mark achievement is an event for celebration for which Red Fort is donned with the largest tricolor flag. The flag weighs around 1400 kg.
