India vs Pak Will Clash on 23 February in Champions Trophy All Matches of Team India Will be Played in Dubai

The ICC has released the schedule of the Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament, which will be held in a hybrid model, will start on February 19 and run till March 9. The group match between India and Pakistan will be held in Dubai on March 23. Bangladesh and New Zealand are also in India’s group.

India will play all three of its group stage matches in the UAE. One semi-final and the final will also be played here. While the remaining 10 matches of the tournament will be held in Pakistan. The ICC had confirmed that the Champions Trophy will be held in a hybrid model. Pakistan is the defending champion of the tournament, the team won the title in 2017 by defeating India in the final.

India-Pakistan matches Schedule

Teams of India and Pakistan will not play cricket in each other’s country. All the matches of India in Champions Trophy 2025 will be played at neutral venues. Pakistani team will also not come to India for any tournament till 2027. Its matches will also be played at neutral venues.

The information about this decision of ICC came out on Thursday. This decision was taken earlier in the meeting. 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup is to be held in India, T20 World Cup in 2026 is to be held in India and Sri Lanka.

Earlier, when the ICC told the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about organizing the Champions Trophy 2025 in a hybrid model, the PCB had put forth a demand before the ICC not to send the team to India, which has now been accepted by the ICC.

A meeting of all the board members was held on December 5 in the presence of the new ICC chairman Jay Shah. Shah also visited the Dubai headquarters this month. In the meeting, all 15 board members agreed to the hybrid model. Pakistan also did not oppose the decision in the meeting.

The 15 match tournament between 8 teams is to start from February 19 and continue till March 9. India will play all its three group stage matches in UAE. PCB put forward 4-5 demands in the meeting, but ICC rejected most of the demands.

Because the India-Pakistan match is like a blockbuster event in any tournament. Both teams can clash in Dubai on March 1 in the Champions Trophy.

PCB wants its financial year revenue to be increased by 5.75%. Also, all the big events to be held in India till 2031 should be held in hybrid model.
