Azam is confident for the reason the team has experienced players like Shoaib Malik and Sarfaraz Ahmed. Both have played against Team India prior to T20 World Cup 2021. Sarfaraz is definitely a worthy player as under his captaincy team won the 2017 Champions Trophy final defeating India.

This is why Azam is highly confident this time. Batting is their main strength for the match as per Azam. ‘We should not be thinking too much about the past. We are very confident about the event and matches coming forward,” said the Pakistan team captain.

On the flip side, India has not disclosed its T20 World Cup Squad for the match. But star players like Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharm, Rishabh Pant, R. Ashwin, Chahar, Varun, Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Bhuvneshkwar, and Shami are on the list.

However, the final squad is yet to be announced. Virat Kohli will be the captain of the match which is expected to be his last. He will end his 9 years long journey as captain after the T20 World Cup.
