The Indian cricket team will not go to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Instead, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to request the International Cricket Council (ICC) to shift its matches to Sri Lanka or Dubai, BCCI sources said.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in Pakistan between February and March 2025. Due to strained political relations, India has not played cricket in Pakistan since the 2008 Asia Cup.

India has not toured Pakistan since 2008. The clash between the two teams took place at an ICC event. Last year, the Asia Cup was hosted by Pakistan, but after India’s insistence not to go to Pakistan, it was decided to play the Asia Cup on a hybrid model. The Indian team played its matches in the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. The Indian team claimed that their government did not allow them to go to Pakistan and play the Asia Cup.
