Children’s Day is a special occasion when we celebrate the innocence of children, their dreams and their happiness together. Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 14 November in India. This day is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of the country’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Nehru ji was very fond of children and was fondly called ‘Chacha Nehru’. Due to his love and dedication towards children (Children’s Day 2024 significance), it was decided to celebrate his birth anniversary as Children’s Day.
The day is celebrated in schools and communities through various events, including Children’s Day speeches for children and teachers. Here we are presenting some special and inspirational Children’s Day speeches for students, children and teachers, which will make the occasion even more special.
Children’s Day Speech
Hello, respected Principal, respected teachers, and my dear friends
Today we have gathered here on a very special occasion—Children’s Day. Every year on 14th November, we celebrate this day dedicated to children’s rights, education and bright future. This day reminds us of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ji, Whom we fondly call ‘Chacha Nehru’. He believed that children are the future of the country, and if we are able to make their dreams come true, the future of our country will also be equally bright.
Dear friends, today is not only to honor us but also inspires us to feel proud of ourselves and shape our life as a good person. We all face challenges sometimes in our lives, but as Chacha Nehru used to say, “Childhood is the time when we can dream of spreading our wings in the open sky.” So, we should never consider our dreams small and should always keep working hard.
Respected teachers, your contribution makes this day special. Educating children, guiding them and showing them the right direction is the result of your hard work and dedication. The confidence you instill in the little eyes of children becomes the most important foundation for them to reach heights in life. Without your hard work the future of our country cannot be bright.
So, on this Children’s Day, let us all take a pledge that we will never let our dreams die and will work hard to make them come true.
Thank you, and Happy Children’s Day to all of you!”
