Honda Motorcycle & Scooter has launched its premium bike Honda CB300F in the Indian market. Booking for Honda CB300F has been started. Customers can moreover place orders for the new bike from Honda’s Bigwing showroom.
Honda CB300F has been launched as the country’s first E85 Flex Fuel running bike. It is going to come in the 300 cc segment. E85 fuel infers it is orchestrated from 85% ethanol and 15% petrol. Use of flex fuel will reduce pollution.
Performance
Honda CB300F has been launched in the 300 cc segment for performance. It comes with a single-cylinder, four-stroke flex fuel compatible engine. Due to which it generates power of 24.5hp and peak torque of 26Nm.
The engine is tuned to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch, ensuring smooth upshifts and downshifts. There is an oil-cooling setup to keep the engine cool.
Design
Apart from the flex-fuel engine, the company has not made any changes in the bike, its look, design and hardware are going to be the same as before. LED headlights and muscular body work are seen in it.
Its front has been made a little sharper, giving it a sporty appeal. This bike has been launched in two color options. In which red and gray colors come. An ethanol indicator is also provided in its display. It has 17-inch alloy wheels, seat height of 789mm and 177mm ground clearance.
Features
- This bike has a fully digital instrument cluster, which has 5 levels of adjustable brightness. It provides basic information for the rider like speedometer, tachometer, gear position, a clock and two trip meters. Additionally, it has an intelligent ethanol indicator, which alerts the rider when the ethanol level exceeds the E85 limit.
- For safety, the bike has a twin disc-brake setup with dual-channel ABS. It has a 276mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. It also has Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), which detects rear-wheel spin. This system electronically reduces engine torque to control traction and stabilize the bike.
- For comfort riding, the suspension setup of the bike has front upside-down forks with golden anodized finish and 5-step adjustable rear mono-shock. For better visibility at night, the bike also has a front LED headlamp, LED turn signals and LED tail light.
Ethanol has Benefits
- Ethanol is a type of alcohol, which is made from the fermentation of starch and sugar. It is mixed with petrol and used as eco-friendly fuel in vehicles.
- Ethanol is produced mainly from sugarcane juice, But ethanol can also be produced from starch containing materials such as corn, rotten potatoes, cassava and rotten vegetables.
- 1G Ethanol First generation ethanol is made from sugarcane juice, sweet beet, rotten potatoes, sweet sorghum and corn.
- 2G Ethanol Second generation ethanol is made from cellulose and lignocellulosic materials such as rice bran, wheat bran, corncob, bamboo and woody biomass.
- 3G Biofuel Third generation biofuel will be made from algae. Work on this is still going on.
- Mixing ethanol in petrol will help in reducing the pollution caused by the use of petrol. With its use, vehicles emit 35% less carbon monoxide.
- Ethanol also reduces emissions of sulfur dioxide and hydrocarbons. Due to 35% oxygen present in ethanol, this fuel also reduces nitrogen oxide emissions.
- A car running on ethanol adulterated petrol gets much less hot than petrol. The alcohol in ethanol evaporates quickly, due to which the engine does not heat up quickly. Apart from this, it will be much cheaper than crude oil. This is also expected to provide relief from inflation.
- Increasing use of ethanol will also increase the income of farmers. Because ethanol is made from sugarcane, corn and many other crops.
- Sugar mills will get a new source of earning and their earnings will increase. Farmers have got a benefit of RS 21 thousand crore from ethanol.

Honda has launched its new bike Honda CB 300F in a single variant only. It has been launched with the options of Sports Red and Matte Axis Gray metallic colors. The bike has been launched at an ex-showroom price of RS 1.70 lakh (Honda CB300F Price in India).
